Position Overview:We are seeking a talented and motivated Ultrasound Imaging Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ultrasound imaging equipment across Chattanooga, Lexington TN, Nashville Metro, and surrounding areas. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal performance of ultrasound systems, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment.
  • Perform inspections, investigations, calibrations, and repairs on various radiology imaging equipment, including GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair ultrasound equipment issues promptly and efficiently using remote diagnostics and laptop-based test protocols.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with OEM specifications from GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba.
  • Utilize power tools, measuring devices, and knowledge of manufacturers’ service documentation to perform maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their imaging needs and provide technical support specifically for ultrasound systems.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and incorporate best practices in ultrasound equipment management.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Consult with medical or research staff to ensure equipment functions properly and safely, utilizing knowledge of electronics, medical terminology, human anatomy, and physics.
  • Demonstrate and explain the correct operation of equipment to medical personnel.
  • Provide training to end-users on proper ultrasound equipment usage and care.
  • Assure preventive maintenance complies with current OEM specifications to meet equipment safety and mandatory performance levels.
  • Perform modality-specific duties as needed.

What You’ll Need (Requirements):

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in ultrasound equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of ultrasound imaging systems.
  • Proficiency in using remote diagnostics, laptop-based test protocols, power tools, and measuring devices.
  • Experience with OEM systems from GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to various healthcare facilities as needed.
