Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with transaction parties to update them on loan status.
- Process loan applications in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate creditworthiness by processing loan applications and documentation.
- Assign tasks to other Indexing Associates and Data Entry Associates as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to lending.
- Provide assistance to the Originations Indexing Department during high volume periods.
- Handle overflow calls from the Originations Customer Care Department.
- Achieve company performance goals.
- Consistently represent the company positively and professionally.
- Write business communications as needed.
- Ensure timely processing and communication of credit denials.
- Provide regular status updates to management.
- Perform assorted duties as requested by management.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience in the finance/mortgage industry.
- In-depth knowledge of loan origination processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in Encompass (preferred), MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Windows PC.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
- Must be responsible, reliable, and maintain a high level of integrity.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in line with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Must be able to type, talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
- Able to sit at a workstation for prolonged periods.
