Tribute Baking Company is the strategic combination of three businesses with rich histories in the baking industry! Always Bagels, Original Bagel, and Hometown Foods USA, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, and convenience store channels. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the newly created Purchasing Inventory Coordinator position will be focused on materials planning and purchase order(PO) management. In addition, the role will be cross-functionally involved in forecasting, supply planning and production scheduling. To be successful in this role, you should enjoy working at a fast pace, be able to work independently and collaborately with a team and posess excellent attention to detail and organization. The Purchasing/Inventory Coordinator is based in our Medley, FL location and will be required to work onsite. Hours for this position are 8:30-5:30PM. Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with the Operations Leadership to determine purchasing needs and requirements for production
Initiate purchase orders for all necessary production materials based on trends, forecasts, and customer orders
Proactively plan future raw material requirements, taking into account new product launch timing and upcoming product mix changes
Monitor inventory, production scheduling and vendor relations and proactively respond or engage contingency plans to prevent disruption to the business
Use PRIMS (Production Recipe Ingredient Management Software) to forecast demand
Enter all purchase orders (POs) into Net suite and PRIMS
Assist in the resolution of production, quality and/or delivery problems regarding purchasing
Initiate, build and maintain solid relationships with key suppliers as well as backup suppliers
Identify and resolve issues related to ingredient quality, pricing, delivery, utilization, and loss
Analyze data and generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues to management/ department heads (inventory issues, results, trends, solutions) and make recommendations on solutions
Maintain all Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and internally required documentation for food safety and lot traceability
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Associates degree (Preferred)
3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience using ERP/MRP Systems
Experience in food manufacturing (Preferred)
Experience in purchasing and inventory control management
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
Proactive and Team Oriented
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated proficiency in Net Suite and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; Knowledge of MRP/ERP or similar software
Demonstrated proficiency in the creation and use of spreadsheets including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, and fundamental statistics functions
