Always Bagels, Original Bagel, Dutch Maid and Hometown Foods USA, together, create a market leading producer of authentic New York style kettle-boiled, hearth-baked bagels and high quality cake products sold into the in-store bakery, club store, foodservice, and convenience store channels.
Hometown Foods, LLC has an opportunity for an experienced Lead Material Handler at the Cold Storage facility of our Miami location. To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in material handling - inventory experience or training and have a valid forklift operator certification. The ability to communicate in Spanish and English both verbally and in writing written is preferred, and strong knowledge of OSHA safety requirements. Experience working with racking systems, maneuvering in tight spaces, and the proper operation of industrial powered forklift. Additionally, candidates will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be required to ask for assistance if that weight is exceeded, be comfortable working in a cold, damp environment, be able to kneel bend and stoop frequently, use hands and finders to handle tools, objects tools and controls, and reach with hand and arms.
To be successful, the candidate chosen must be able to understand and follow standard operating procedures, perform check-in of inventory, conduct and report on inventory counts, perform all other work assigned duties as required by supervisors/managers, maintain a clean and safe work environment, report unsafe work practices and injuries to management.

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
