TriCom Technical Services is Hiring a Supply Chain Forecast Analyst Near Leawood, KS
Responsibilities
Analyze historical information to develop statistically-based forecast information for individual items within certain product lines.
Develop forecasting models as required to analyze and produce forecast information.
Facilitate demand and inventory planning activities and develop proficiency in the use of the current tools being used by the Supply Chain Management Department for forecasting and procurement.
Interface with other business units as appropriate to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as outlined below:
Perform statistical analysis on historical product demand information to analyze and predict future demand;
Develop statistical models using means, standard deviation, and trend lines to produce product demand profiles;
Present forecast information in a manner suitable for use by Forecasting, MRP processes, and Marketing/Sales.
Develop proficiency in the tools used by the Supply Chain Management Department for forecasting and inventory procurement;
Research and collect intuitive information required to forecast demand for products not having statistically significant demand history;
Take the actions required to facilitate the acquisition of inventory to meet demand on a timely basis;
Contribute as a member of the Supply Chain Management Team;
Lead monthly demand review meetings;
Collaborate with sales and product development partners to gather data needed to develop an accurate forecast;
Accountable for achieving the annual inventory turn, product availability, and forecast accuracy goals.
Requirements
4 year degree (preferred) or comparable experience;
3 or more years of practical experience in the areas of:
Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, and Forecasting;
Data Modeling;
Pulling together Demand Plans;
Leading S&OP meetings.
Language Abilities:
Ability to write procedures documentation for the department, routine reports and correspondence;
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Math Abilities:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts including probability and statistical inference and algebraic fundamentals;
Ability to apply concepts including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills:
Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, Internet, and sales order/inventory/MRP/purchase order processing software;
