Job Title: Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Plano TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months Contract to hire

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in NJ, 2 remotes. Prefer M T W to match colleagues (early on to bring them up to speed) but exceptions can be made in the future.

About Project:

Card Data Technology within the Consumer and Community Bank - Credit Card Technology Team. Looking to expand the team, we are in a new building. Building out data platform for card data. issue cards directly or through partners (United, Amazon ETRC). we accumulate a lot of data, until now no focus on building out access for cards. Both on business side (driving product owners) tech side – building data platform. Mobile team, we have a team in India (60%) and plano. (40%). Cloud native platform. Blend of software engineer, big data and AWS experience. Have a plano leader, will be 2 team with 8 each. JR people are coming in the door so it’s blended experience. Looking to fill the middle (not necessarily people with directing experience) SR person who can serve as an influencer to the JR people.

About Candidate, Day to Day Functions:

experienced engineer at SR or VP level. Hands on, engineering background, hands on coding.

Skills (required):

Core engineering – Java (open on version) and python (1 of the 2 needed, use a combo of both). More emphasis on Java. Spring Boot will be used here

Worked on data platform (build data pipelines, work with data sets). Someone with Spark, EMR, Glue would fit the bill. Java/Spark. PI-Spark

AWS (S3, EMR, Glue to some extent, RDBMS). (Using Terraform code to set up IAC’s is a plus)

blend of skills since a senior role, closer to all of it would be great. Comes from Engineering background – not data scientist, ETL developers)
