This job does not provide room and boardSummary: The Seafood Processor L48 – 2 processes Seafood products on one or more assigned lines by performing the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleans, scrapes, trims, and fillets product.
  • Discards and culls inferior or defective items and foreign matter.
  • Skillfully fillets for finishing seafood products into predetermined sizes.
  • Works with precision knives and tools to meet product specifications.
  • Accurately weighs and sorts fish according to product or customer specifications.
  • Attentive to minimizing waste and achieving consistent results.
  • Labels and packages seafood according to product guidelines.
  • Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
  • Tasks and assignments must always be performed in a safe manner.
  • Performs Seafood Processor L48 functions at a higher level of productivity and quality.
  • Engages in tasks that require additional training outside of the normal production line duties.
  • Undertakes crucial responsibilities as a key person on production line.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:
  • No experience in this particular field is necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous food production experience is a plus, but not required.
Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $18.60 to $19.25.Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit starts at 10 days per year, adjusted commensurate with relevant experience, and 7 days of sick leave per year (9 in Seattle), accrued bi-weekly.
