Job Overview: Summary: This position will lead, plan and direct a large team that interacts with and/or signficantly impacts most areas of healthcare delivery, including clinical and financial. Candidates should be positive, energetic, self-motivated and possess excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as have demonstrated success in revenue cycle leadership and the ability to influence non-reporting areas for success. Experience in all areas of the revenue cycle (PAS, HIM, PFS) is preferred, however, experience with only certain areas will be considered. Success will be determined via metric outcomes, not activites. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leadership, Operational Planning and Management, Human Resources Planning and Management, Financial Planning and Management, Risk Management & TriHealth Way of Leading and other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or other related field Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Broad understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes and key metrics of success Knowledge of healthcare rules/regulations for government and commercial payment Project management 6-8 years experience Professional Healthcare Revenue Cycle Healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environments required. 4-5 years experience Management Healthcare Job Responsibilities: Leadership: (a) Participates in developing the vision and strategic plan for Revenue Cycle; (b) Fosters effective team work between Rev Cycle team members and other customers; (c ) Represents the organization professionally at all times and conducts offic Operational Planning & Management: (a) Develop an operational plan which sets goals and objectives that achieve the system strategic goals; (b) Oversee the efficient and effective daily operations of the team; (c ) Draft policies and procedures for approv Human Resources Planning & Management: (a) Determine staffing requirements for program delivery; (b) Oversee implementation of HR policies and procedures; (c ) Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with internal policies an Financial Planning & Management: (a) Prepare a comprehensive budget: (b) Approve expenditures within delegated authority; (c) Act as a steward of TriHealth resources; (d) Monitor department expenses compared to budget and adjust accordingly in an effor to Customer Relations & Advocacy: (a) Proactively communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to keep them informed of the work and/or strategic plans; (b) Solicit support in the way of "buy in" so programs that support the overall strateg Risk Management: (a) Identify and evaluate risks to the organizations people, property, finances, goodwill and image and implement measures to mitigate risk. Other job-related information: Direct Report FTEs= 3-9 FTE's Indirect Report FTEs = 150-299 Work Environment: Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations. Able to effectively manage exposure to potentially infectious material per OSHA guidelines.
