Job Description
Job Overview:

The Executive Director (ED) will provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the women's service line by working collaboratively with TH and TPP senior leadership, Physician leader(s) of the women's service line and women's management team to set clear goals and objectives for the service line.
The Executive Director of Women's Service line will effectively present and communicate the organization's vision and strategies and execute the TH and TPP strategic plan as prioritized by executive leadership and essential committees of TriHealth. The Executive Director will Develop and Lead a rolling 5-year strategic plan that addresses clinical growth and excellence, system access needs, industry trends, market competition and differentiating services.
Key elements of the Executive Director's role include overseeing day-to-day operations including the prospective operating budget and capital budget, as well as adjusting the support based on volume trends. They will build a team to always meet and exceed patient/consumer expectations, model the TriHealth way of leading and hold others accountable, direct the areas initiatives of clinical volumes, quality, utilization, managed care contract compliance, population health and outcomes as reported in various tools and scorecards. The Executive Director will also guide all recruitment and retention strategies of physicians, in concert with the physician recruitment team, and of team members by working in concert with HR. They will lead performance pillar plans in their area for Growth, Culture, Quality, Financial and Service Excellence. The Executive Director is responsible for understanding market and government changes and planning for future success of the area during current and future changes and work collaboratively across TPP & TH and is accountable directly to VP, with matrix to SVP Regional Operations and matrix to COO and President of TPP, as well as Hospital Presidents to accomplish the annual plan of TH as set by the TH Board.
Additionally, the Executive Director seizes opportunities, is action oriented and energized around challenges, clearly assigns responsibility, sets clear objectives and measures, monitors progress and results, as well as designs feedback into the change process. They can be counted on to meet and exceed goals, steadfastly pushes self and others around results while respecting the processes and relationships needed to achieve those results. The Executive Director is a strong communicator, presenter, handles complexes situations as a seasoned professional, knowledgeable in practices and information affecting business, and demonstrates the ability to cope effectively with rapid change.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health; or Business
Physician relationships; physician contracts and wRVUS; productivity benchmarks; women's service line strategy development and implementation; effective in use of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel) and development of business plans.

Job Responsibilities:
Effectively leads, directs, organizes and/or executes over the broad operational areas of responsibility daily.

Works in concert with Senior leadership, Physician, and administrative leadership to deliver excellent clinical care and the "TriHealth" experience across the Women's Institute. Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic objectives, as determined by the TH Executive Team and/or Women's Board.

Anticipates the impact of market and environmental issues and plans accordingly. Possess the foresight and vision necessary for effective Institute development that improves the clinical programs, quality outcomes, customer services and financial performance.

Has strong communication and presentation skills for complex conversations and Executive /Board meetings. Develops business plans for areas of expansion and new products or markets. Works collaboratively with all necessary stakeholders in budget, proforma, and business planning.

Ability to navigate through and negotiate complex compensation contract discussions and complex HR situations.

Leads and implements the marketing and communications plans for the Institute.

Effectively represents the Service Line at all essential leadership meetings for the TH system, TPP, TH Hospitals, Women's Industry Sessions and community agencies.

Has strong understanding of finance, proforma and contract management, including planning and oversight of operating and capital budgets for the area and physician contracts.

Effectively negotiates physicians contracts and understands how to use physician supporting data.

Understands CMS annual coding changes for their specialty area. Monitors daily volumes and monthly performance.

Adjust support to meet expectations of performance. Notes trends in growing and declining volume areas and proactively adjust workforce.

Assures that charges are captured correctly every day and by end of reporting period.

Actively supports and/or participates in all revenue cycle training of staff and physicians.

Responsible for the outcomes of cash collections and control at all front offices, accurate registration data and minimization of de B144nials based on front end processes.

A strong working knowledge and oversight capability of the Women's Service Line programs, metrics, and priorities.

Develops annual goals and business plans for areas of expansion and new products or markets.

Develops and implement the marketing and communications plans for the Institute.

Identifies barriers to success and adapts workflow, people and processes to quickly respond and deliver improved service and care.

Serves as a key leader in the TPP division and actively participates in leadership meetings and team member discussions.

In collaboration with the Women's System Chief and Women's Medical Director, participates in the direction, hiring and firing of the service line administrative and clinical staff.

Provides performance reviews, sets goals and incentives for the administrative and clinical staff in conjunction with the physician leaders, senior leaders and directors.

Works collaboratively to find solutions to volume and budget issues as they occur.
Other Roles and Responsibilities:
Demonstrates a strong understanding of women's health issues, including obstetrics, gynecology, and women's sub-specialty areas to ensure delivery of high-quality, cost effective, evidenced based care.

Engages all team members, staff, and physicians in proving exceptional quality care in the best setting.

Educates area team members of the annual quality, population and performance targets including utilization and bundles as applicable.

Shares area's expertise across other peer areas to build a broader team approach for the patient/consumer.

Keeps safety initiatives as a high priority in the area's daily work.

Serves to support physician communication across various venues and tools.

Responsible for physician onboarding prior to go live data and orientation steps to provide a first clinical day including the ability of the physician/provider to chart all findings, diagnosis, plan of care and closure of chart to generate a bill with prices of all codes.

Develops, communicates, and evaluates multiple quality dashboards and patient safety metrics for the service line.

Serves as a role model in the TriHealth way of leading.

Demonstrates the core values of SERVE in written and verbal and non-verbal communication.

Leads the area's team in determining strategies for team member and physician engagement in concert with physician leaders and management personnel.

Serves to empower team members to always perform at their best.

Coaches team members to reflect and improve where needed and praises in public when superior care or other actions are noted.

Works within the dyad model and coaches dyad partner as needed in leadership skills and seeks feedback from dyad partner to also improve self-performance.
