Position Title: Developer - Mid Level - Django Position Description: Trillion Technology Solutions (Trillion) is seeking a full time Developer in support of a high profile federal client. Ideal candidates will be mid-level developers with 5-7 years experience who thrive in fact-paced, highly collaborative, team-oriented environments and who: Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with development teams, business analysts, and stakeholders Have proven experience developing web API's and API driven data solutions utilizing Node.js, Python, and PostgreSQL Have proven experience with modern development practices, tools, and infrastructure solutions (e.g., DevSecOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, container management, cloud services, Secure by Design principles) Have the ability to prioritize own work based on competing demands of clients and team members Are excited about learning organization-specific programs and technologies Have high level of personal initiative with a passion for learning new technologies, tools, and best practices Must have Django experience Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing enhancements to the OpenFEMA platform, FEMA's mechanism for releasing high-value datasets to the public in machine readable formats. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and web services using Node.js and Python Optimizing API endpoints for performance and responsiveness Troubleshooting and resolving API-related issues Developing code related to ETL, scripting, and other non-API functionality Supporting the optimization of PostgreSQL RDS database queries, indexes, and schema design Must have Django experience Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor's Degree in a related field 5-7 years of experience is required Federal Government consulting experience preferred Must have Django experience Experience working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) highly preferred Knowledge of Open Government initiatives and/or open data principles a plus Proficiency in Node.js, Python, and PostgreSQL required Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) highly preferred Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and load balancers highly preferred Experience with productivity and collaboration tools (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, GitHub) Certifications in relevant technologies a plus US. citizenship is required
