Business Need / Purpose of Role:
Responsible to support the manufacturing teams by creating accurate and timely
routings, machine programs, and assisting with the purchase and maintenance of
machines and equipment. Improve the business by contributing and
implementing ideas to enhance all manufacturing worksites, processes, and
practices. This includes creating a positive culture of continuous improvement by
learning and applying lean principles, exhibiting honesty at all times, and
respecting other people at all times.
Objectives & Measurement
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities: (results this role is
expected to accomplish)
Including but not limited to:
•Support production team members in the continual improvement of
production processes
•Support production in the development of processes that are repeatable
and safe
•Assist and participate in the maintenance and repair of machines and
equipment as necessary
•Assist in training of team members on machines and processes
•Complete manufacturing routings in a timely and accurate manner
•Create accurate and efficient machining programs
•Quick response to production team members when issues arise
•Confirm that standards are being adhered to and that parts are of high
quality and being produced according to specifications
•Understand and promote WSP mission and values at all times and ensure
that safety policies and procedures are being followed
•Exhibit respectful behavior and communication at all times
•Effectively use metrics and visual management systems to define,
measure, and improve performance to both internal and external
customers and ensure customer satisfaction
•Continually develop and train on new skills and processes
•Confirm that standardized countermeasures/best practices are
maintained, sustained, and improved
•Lead or participate in improvement events
•Be available to work flexible hours as necessary •Create results by working effectively through, and bringing out the best, in team members •Be aware of, and escalate any personnel issues to Manager and HR Director as needed •Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
•4 years degree from accredited college or university, or equivalent years of
experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
•4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Microsoft
Office including: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an intermediate level. Basic
algebra and geometry skills. Previous Auto CAD or solid Works experience is
preferred.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: MS Office [fill in application depending on job scope] Physical Requirements: Sit, walk and stand for eight or more hours. Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. In certain areas of the facility personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required, including safety glasses and steel-toed shoes, and ear plugs.
