Job Description
CDL Driver
Reports to: Facility Manager or Transportation Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Driver plays a key role in the success of our business. The successful individual will be able to safely and efficiently complete customer collection routes with varying schedules and deadlines. This individual will interact with customers, employees, members of senior management, and regulatory representatives. Drivers must follow all safety and compliance regulations. In every case, this individual must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation.
Drivers are equipped with a convertible hand truck to dolly heavier or multiple containers from the generator’s storage to our vehicle for transport.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Work and drive in a safe and efficient manner
•Follow all company safety and infection control protocols
•Complete pre and post trip vehicle inspections
•Enters service information into Navusoft using company phone
•Load and unload trucks and trailers ensuring loads are secure for transport
•Provides excellent customer service
•Create labels using handheld printer and attach to appropriate container
•Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks
•Maintain a clean interior in vehicle
•Follow all DOH and DOT requirements
•Pull order to load supplies unto trucks for next day service
•Weigh containers and enter weights into computer
•Operate shredding machines and bailing equipment
•Operate industrial container washing machines
•Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks and forklift
•Perform daily sanitation protocols
•Follow all vehicle and driving laws
•Work in a safe and efficient manner
•Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•21 years or older
•High school diploma or equivalent
•No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 7 years
•Complete all D.O.T and company required training
•Able to pass random drug/alcohol testing as required by company
•Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators
•Strong written and communication skills
•Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
•Quickly adapt to changing business demands
•Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks, software and protocols
•Must meet all applicable DOT and licensing requirements
•Licensed for vehicle to be driven (Class A or Class B)
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a Medical Examiner’s Card (MEC)
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
•Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
•Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
•Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
•Must have a current, valid driver's license
•Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy

•Routine physical exertion: standing, walking, climbing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping and bending
•Able to walk extended distances
•Able to maintain focus and analyze data
•Able to load and unload materials onto truck
•Able to climb in and out of vehicle and cargo area multiple times per day
