 Job Description

Facility Manager 

Reports to: District Manager

Classifications: Exempt

SUMMARY 

The Facility Manager directly manages the operations for multiple lines of waste streams to include the collection of waste by route drivers as well as the processing of the waste by plant team members. Maintains performance expectations, productivity metrics and cost management processes including but not limited to Cost of Revenue Savings Plans in effort to meet and exceed budget. Directly responsible for the retention of current staff and acquisition of new employees, as needed. The Facility Manager is responsible for promoting and managing a safe and compliant work environment for all team members by complying with all safety, compliance and quality control policies and procedures as defined by Trilogy MedWaste, Inc. to include but not limited to local, state and federal regulatory agencies and general housekeeping practices. Creating and maintaining a culture that promotes high level engagement by all team members.

Salary Range: $85K - $90K

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

•Manages the following functions: plant processing operations and transportation, planning/scheduling, maintenance, safety, continuous improvement projects, quality control, and facility budget

•Leads and supports the plant's continuous improvement process

•Uses current processes and suggests new ideas for continuous improvement

•Determines the resources and skills needed for the facility to achieve business objectives

•Encourages and ensures career development and succession planning discussions

•Leads operations work environment to achieve maximum productivity

•Establishes clear goals and accountability to direct reports and provides performance feedback on a regular basis 

•Mentors and develops direct reports in current position for future career growth

•Defines and directs compliance with the plant's policies and procedures

•Contributes to the development of companywide strategic plans

•Responsible for trouble shooting and resolving issues within the facility

•Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure that budgets are met; develops and implements programs for optimal equipment utilization, equipment maintenance, and labor and material costs

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

•Preferred BA/BS degree in business, management, engineering, or relevant work experience 

•5 years of experience in management/leadership is required

•2 years of warehouse management is required

•2 years of experience in medical waste is preferred

•Proficient to advance knowledge of MS Office applications is required

•Demonstrates problem solving skills

•Mechanically Inclined (ability to make minor repairs on equipment)

•Class A License is preferred, but not required

•Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred, but not required

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

•Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule 

•Additional hours as job duties demand 

TRAVEL - OTHER

•Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities up to 10%

•Must have a current, valid driver's license

•Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
