Why you’ll love it here! 401k Community Service Day Spotlight Awards National Sales Excellence Awards CFSP Prep Certification Program POSITION DETAILS:The Regional Sales Manager reports to the Director of Territory SalesLocated in Bedford Park, ILFull-TimeHybrid POSITION SUMMARY:The Regional Sales Manager oversees and manages the daily activities of Territory Sales Representatives in assigned region; acts as a mentor/coach to sales team members; assists in training and development of sales team members; provides back-up coverage of territory in TSR’s absence.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and organizational staff that promotes loyalty, collaboration, and increased revenue between customers and the company.Effectively recruit sales talent through proper interviewing techniques.Supervise Territory Sales Representatives in region.Train and develop TSR’s in region.Provide guidance and support to TSR’s in region.Address performance issues in a timely manner.Develop and maintain key customer relationships.Be a strategic and innovative partner to customers.Spend significant time in the field with individual accounts and co-traveling with sales personnel to ensure region achieves set targets.Effectively manage a territory and ensure all designated areas have coverage by zip code.Establish and attend regular meetings with team members.Remain current on product knowledge through attendance of sales meetings, vendor trainings, reading industry related publications, and participating in industry related professional organizations.Actively participate in all sales meetings.Committed to growth in understanding of foodservice industry.Other duties as assigned.COMPETENCIES:Passionate about all aspects of sellingStrong managerial and leadership skillsExcellent sales & customer service attitudeAbility to sell consultativelyExcellent prospecting and closing abilitiesStrong negotiating skills with ability to overcome objectionsProven success in building long-term and growing relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workersThorough follow-up and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively develop and implement sales training programsAbility to manage remote personnelAbility to set challenging, but attainable goals for staffStrong presentation skillsHigh energy level and competitive natureIntermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, & OutlookExcellent communications skills both written and oralStrong interpersonal skills: ability to work collaboratively with othersStrong time management & organizational skillsDetail oriented and results drivenKnowledgeable about foodservice industryAbility to prepare budgets and accurately forecast sales and appropriate staffing requirementsAbility to identify and suggest new products to expand organization’s businessQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:High School education required.Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business administration) or equivalent educational level preferred.2 or more years' experience successfully leading a profitable sales force in the foodservice or related industry.5 years sales experience in foodservice/hospitality management and/or foodservice salesExperience in a distribution environment preferredAbility to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptanceValid driver’s license with a clean driving record with reliable transportationCFSP Certified or credits toward certification preferred
