CNC Machine Setup/Operator
Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and tending of various machine tools that remove excess material from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, buff, hone, or polish glass work pieces.
 Job Responsibilities:

• Select machine tooling to be used, using knowledge of machine and production requirements.
• Mount and position tools in machine chucks, spindles, or other tool holding devices, using hand tools.
• Compute machine indexations and settings for specified dimensions and base reference points.
• Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
• Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems.
• Inspect or measure finished work pieces to determine conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as gauges or micrometers.

 Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ITAR compliant authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficient with computer aided design CAD/CAM software.
• Experienced with ASME Y14.5 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Familiar with ERP software, industrial control software, as well as inventory management software a plus.
• Experience with lathes, grinding, slicing, machining of optics a plus.
• Must be highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously and must be a strong team player.
