TriMech Services is Hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer Near York, PA
The Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with Project Engineering and/or a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop new conveying equipment as well as design existing equipment for both custom and standard products.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptional design, detail, assembly and arrangement drawings required for fabrication of conveyors
- Design and detail all drawings, using company standards
- Develop detailed layout to check machine tolerance and ensure clearances
- Participate in design reviews
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
- Apply product knowledge and technical skills to solve application problems
- Complete assignments in allotted timeframe with minimal supervision
- Identify purchased materials and create purchase requisitions
- Perform calculations for motor sizing and structural integrity
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as required by management
- Accredited BS degree in an engineering discipline or minimum of 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Knowledge of food processing equipment and design preferred
- Experience in a customized machinery manufacturing environment preferred
- Sanitary design experience preferred
- Conveyor design and sheet metal experience preferred
- Must be self-motivated
- Enthusiasm for mechanical design
- Works well as part of a team
- Can also work independently with minimal direction
- Highly accountable: “owns” successes and mistakes
- Can accept and learn from constructive criticism
- Strong desire to learn
