Continuous Inventory Analysis
Maintains a running current database to indicate our position on all varieties and pedigrees at all locations, continually demonstrating viable seed vs. non-viable.
Development of TVS Origination Plan
Provides details on all inventory and what can be produced with it. Expands that plan through breeder purchases and permissions, etc.
Provides detail of how seed lots can be best utilized in accordance with states bean rules.
Takes into account how to reserve not just this year's seed stock but next year's needs for higher pedigrees.
Perpetuates our long-term goal to not rely on QA seed or breeder letters but instead develop planning tools that provide sufficient inventory.
Develops the plan into a continual fluid plan, not a December to May plan.
Inventory Monitoring and Control
Quarterly or bi-annually performs evaluations of each location's inventory in terms of quality, germination, crop year, dead or dying varieties, and creates dispositions in conjunction with GM.
Participates as a team member to accurately provide available numbers for Sales as the harvest and processing season progresses in relation to quality and regulation restrictions.
Harvests receipts minus tare adjustments minus TBC usage minus quality and regulation restrictions equates to the availability by variety and pedigree.
Develop Improvement Processes
Allowable Sales Limits
Improves processes and approvals for going above the limit or substandard quality.
New Variety Production
Further establish the Seed Acquisition Form and process.
Enters PO/Sets up new items/Stefanie involvement.
Refining/Defining Receiving procedures for inbound seed stocks.
Establishes serology processes/protocols for all locations.
Develops enhanced testing procedures for increased quality expectations.
Royalty Production Analysis
Dealer Sales
Custom Production
Investigates/Evaluates the possibilities of internal germination testing.
Works in conjunction with Quality Supervisor and location Managers.
Improves consistency in germ results through various methods.
Develops and implements quality systems and quality improvement strategies to increase the integrity of the seed division and achieves excellence in customer satisfaction.
Provides reliable input for Seed and Commercial origination plans to provide accurate forecasting and grower production results.
Facilitates and manages stock seed program, including collaborating with breeders and production plants to ensure overall quality and effectiveness of pedigree segments.
Collaborates with other departments of the Company including Sales, Operations, Accounting/Finance, Transportation, Customer Service and Human Resources.
Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
Provides assistance to location managers as needed for inventory control initiatives, Physical Inventory, production and harvest processes.
Other duties as assigned by management.
WHAT WE NEED MUST-HAVES:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
A minimum of 5 years' experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY :
Fiscal responsibility and financial acumen
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced operations planning environment
Ability to create accountability, work collaboratively, and to lead by example
Knowledge and experience in complying with state and federal seed production requirements
Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills
