Trinity Consultants Engineering & EHS Workforce Solutions is Hiring an Environmental Specialist Near Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities:

  • Implement environmental compliance plans - federal, state and local regulations (Title V, SWPPP, SPCC, RCRA, etc.)
  • Participate and/or direct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and corporate environmental policies and guidelines.
  • Manage the site's recordkeeping requirements.
  • Routinely update Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Monitor and maintain Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
  • Manage and schedule waste transportation and disposal in accordance with regulations.
  • Maintain productive relationships with plant personnel and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Responsible for successfully communicating and executing company policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Work with outside consultants, contractors, and other resources.
  • Support staff at other company locations in the Western United States.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Biology, Engineering, or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance areas including air (Title V), solid waste/hazardous materials management, radiation detection systems, and water quality management in a heavy industrial environment.
  • General knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and a familiarity with heavy industrial operations.
  • Ability to obtain US EPA Method 9 Certification (Visible Emissions Certification) and other required training and keep up to date with the latest regulations.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Excellent writing and computer skills including email and Microsoft software products (e.g., Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
  • Able to clearly communicate expectations, issues and feedback.
