Work Schedule : M-F 8am-5pm plus On-Call Hours Required for Employee Relations

***Healthcare Experience Required

Pay: $90K-110K annually, DOE

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Donor Services Director to lead our team in Tulsa. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a large team of 40-50 staff , with a focus on phlebotomists in a laboratory setting. As the Donor Services Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient blood collection processes, oversight of staffing and hiring processes, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 40 staff, including phlebotomists, to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize blood collection processes and enhance donor satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in a laboratory setting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows and improve overall organizational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership in resolving operational challenges and implementing best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for donor services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical and/or management, will consider equivalent in work experience
  • Minimum of five years management experience, blood bank focus preferred
  • Strong leadership, customer service, technical and organizational skills

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience.

* Plan, implement, and administer programs and services in a health care or medical facility, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of medical, nursing and physical plant staff.
* Develop and maintain computerized record management systems to store and process data, such as personnel activities and information, and to produce reports.
* Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and other personnel.
* Establish objectives and evaluative or operational criteria for units managed.
* Inspect facilities and recommend building or equipment modifications to ensure emergency readiness and compliance to access, safety, and sanitation regulations.
* Develop instructional materials and conduct in-service and community-based educational programs.
