Prior Auth Rep | Tulsa, OK
Monday - Friday 8-5
Pay: Dependent on Experience, $16-$17.75/HR
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Obtain prior authorizations for any necessary special studies for all insurance using carrier-specific tools
- Maintain a working knowledge of precertification requirements by payer, utilizing payer-specific websites
- Review and analyze clinical data for pre-authorization request against medical terms and diagnosis or CPT codes
- Verify eligibility and benefits for each special studies request
- Responsible for entering detailed notes in the practice management system that pertain to special studies referrals and authorizations
