Quality Control Weld Inspector

$24/hr w/OT

• Carries out inspection activities in accordance with established quality plans, engineering specifications and procedures in order to verify that the product meets specified requirements.
• Must be able to effectively use, read and interpret a tape measure.
• Performs incoming, in-process and final dimensional and visual inspection of materials and assemblies to determine compliance.
• Electronically records the results to provide evidence that the product has been inspected, whether accepted or rejected.
• The Inspector is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.
• Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.
• Must have weld inspection experience. AWS D1.1 experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations and Powder Coating. Inspection will work closely with Manufacturing to ensure full compliance to Engineering requirements.
• Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
• Mag Particle Inspection, preferred. High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred. Experience in an ISO 9001environment preferred.
• 2-3 years experience of weld inspector experience.
