Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Registered Nurse and peri-operative staff, the Nursing Assistant will transport patients, stock Operating Room supplies, transport supplies to Operations Room suites, transport equipment, assist with patient preparation, room preparation and positioning, and do housekeeping chores, i.e. mops Operating Room floors between cases, removes case carts and bio-medical waste and linen at the conclusion of each surgery. Provides adequate supplies of scrubs, caps and masks, and lavatory supplies in the locker rooms. At Saint Francis Hospital the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions. What you will do Collect and report patient information and data Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation Patient Transport Collection of specimens Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms Deliver ice and beverages to patients As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety Minimum Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
