Description:Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Radiation Therapy Tech. to join our team in our Radiation Department!
Employment Type: Part Time
Shift: Per Diem/Pool, rotating shift
Summary:Administers prescribed treatment to patients using specialized therapy and computer systems. The purpose is delivery of quality care. Perform and/or assist in CT simulation procedure in CAT Scan department.
  • Accurately delivers the prescribed planned course of therapy using the Linear Accelerator.
  • Observes radiation safety measures for patient, self and others.
  • Utilizes safety features of the safety needle (tatooing) appropriately.
  • Assists patient to be as comfortable as possible on the table during all procedures, uses kneepads, armrests, security belts, additional blankets.
  • Communicates with patient to ensure importance of comfort of position, allowing patient to have choices as appropriate to the situation.
Requirements:
  • HS graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology
  • Registered as ARRT with certification in radiation therapy
  • AHA BLS
