Trinity Hospitals is Hiring a CRNA Near Minot, ND

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Trinity Health Anesthesia personnel will provide anesthesia services to patients requiring such care throughout the Medical Facility in the designated special care areas and the Operating Rooms, as well as rural affiliated sites. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (hereafter known as CRNA), with appropriate staff privileges and current licensure and re-certification will provide anesthesia services. The Staff Anesthetist provides individualized anesthesia services to patients in the following age groups: infancy, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
    • The Staff Anesthetist works collaboratively with the Anesthesiologists and reports administratively to the Chief Anesthetist, Medical Director of Anesthesia Department and the Senior Vice President. The standards of the Nurse Anesthesia profession assist in assuring consistent, safe anesthesia care. It is our duty to either perform each individually, or assure they have been performed by a health care team member qualified to do so. The CRNA is expected to assess, evaluate and treat each patient situation and utilize professional judgment in selecting a course of action in the best interest of the patient. This includes, but is not limited to: being responsible to interview patients, review the chart pre-op, induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia, provide clinical instruction, accompany patients to PACU/ICU/NICU/SDS, give full report to appropriate personnel, and provide follow-up care as needed. Call is provided 24 hours a day, which includes coordinating the O.R. schedule on days of first call. Anesthesia services are provided as needed to other departments in the hospital and community. The CRNA is expected to function as an effective team member and carry on respectful interaction and appropriate communication with peers, colleagues, and physicians. The CRNA is also expected to participate in educational programs, meetings and other interdepartmental or self-directed work team duties as assigned.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Licenses and Certifications Required
      • APRN, AANA Certified/Re-certified.
      • BLS/ACLS/PALS certified.
    • Educational Requirements
      • Accredited Graduate School Anesthesia Program.
      • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of North Dakota. Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor. Current certification or recertification from AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
      • Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where Degree was received.
    • Experience Requirements
      • New graduates accepted.
