Trinity Solar Careers is Hiring a Structural Engineer Near Belmar, NJ

Trinity Solar is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Wall, NJ. This is a fast-paced, structured process environment, and the ideal candidate should be comfortable working under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously with an emphasis on project safety, cost, quality and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop photovoltaic structural engineering plans, details, and calculations that are complete, accurate, and consistent with local, state, and federal engineering practices.
  • Work cross functionally with other teams within and outside the engineering department to ensure clients’ needs and internal deadlines are met.
  • Assist with preparation of design documents for project design including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Stamp 50 letters per day for structural designs of solar projects.
  • Coordinate structural related issues with electrical design team for solar projects.
  • Provide engineering expertise in the design, analysis, and evaluation of solar projects.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to support project designs.
  • Maintain project schedules and be responsible for meeting project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively cross-organizationally.
  • Continuously improve processes and systems to ensure optimal project outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Licensed structural engineer with strong experience in the design of residential engineering projects, ideally with solar experience but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license and willingness to obtain licenses in multiple states is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Experience with stamping structural designs for solar projects.
  • Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to solar projects.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
