JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team who is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas. The Peri Anesthesia Nurse is trained in both pre and post-op care as well as initial Phase I care of a patient in PACU. The Peri Anesthesia Nurse takes calls for postoperative patients in PACU daily as well as on weekends and holidays for emergent cases.
Education:
2-year Associates degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Must possess a valid State of Maine RN license
BLS/ACLS/PALS certification required
Experience:
1-year Previous Nursing Experience PreferredMedical terminology required
