Warehouse Receiving Clerk

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a Warehouse Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Warehouse Receiving Clerk you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role is responsible for the accurate and efficient receiving of customer orders, incoming materials and other receivables. Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing for Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time!

Position Overview

• Maintain organization of the receiving area, staging area, hold area and outgoing area of the warehouse, including all respective paperwork.
• Report any discrepancies between paperwork (i.e. purchase orders, job card routers, shipping tickets) and physical inventory.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Accurately enter a high volume of orders into the computer system, ensuring correct pricing, quantity, and model numbers.
• Handle basic customer inquiries and complaints, resolving or escalating issues as required.
• Maintain customer database by entering additions, cancellations, and changes to customer orders as needed
• Coordinate with the Shipping Department regarding shipment changes and cancellations.
• Verify job-site forms and process orders to ensure shipments are accurate, efficient, and timely.
• Sort parts as needed.
• Arrange pickups with trucking companies, including the preparation of invoices and exporting documents.
• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Prepare products and materials for shipment.
• Track and record units of materials handled.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Other job duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.

• Experience:
  • Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an order entry clerk is preferred.

• Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Clear communication is essential for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet quality standards.

Total Compensation Package:

• Wage
  • $17.00 per hour
  • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
