ABOUT THE POSTION:

We are currently searching for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely delivery of materials, products and services to the Triple S Steel customers. He/she ensures Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met and maintained according to Federal, State and Local laws, along with all company issued training. The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable and responsible for the security of the assets in the office and warehouse and is responsible for the regular audit and inventory of materials. He/she is also responsible for the repair, maintenance and upkeep of the Physical Building and Grounds, by utilizing the Vendors approved by the company. They are responsible for local Quality Assurance activities, logistics, procurement of Operating Supplies, and training of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department, including managing all the machine operators and helpers (Shear & Saws).
  • Track and Schedule new equipment acquisition and justification
  • Schedule all processing equipment
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves delays in shift operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.
  • Informs production planning department, relevant management, and other stakeholders of delays.
  • Facilitates maintenance and repairs to equipment and inventory
  • Works with Operations Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • INVEX support, including but not limited to Transport Planning, Shipping, Job Scheduling and Production planning within the system
  • Assist with training of new employees in safety, proper work assignments, and job responsibilities
  • Entry of incident reports
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of previous similar experience supervising employees.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Exceptional work experience with the company preferred.
  • Strong Computer Literacy
