Clinical Director

A company in Middle River, MD is looking for a Clinical Director to join their team. This position will oversee and manage the clinical operations of our behavioral health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will hold an LCPC, LCADC, or LCSW-C license and possess extensive experience in addictions treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and direction to the counseling staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead regular clinical team meetings and case consultations.
  • Design and implement evidence-based treatment programs for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Evaluate and improve program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise clinical staff.
  • Provide regular performance evaluations and professional development opportunities.
  • Facilitate ongoing training and education on best practices in addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct clinical services as needed.
  • Ensure the highest standard of care through continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Handle escalated clinical issues and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure integrated care.
  • Serve as a liaison with external agencies, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at community events, conferences, and professional meetings.
  • Manage the clinical department’s budget and resources efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
  • Oversee compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Current and valid LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LCADC (Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor), or LCSW-C (Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical) in Maryland.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience with a focus on addictions treatment and co-occurring disorders. Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and data management.
