Corporate Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. Description:

• Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses
• Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivable and work closely with the Asst Controller to ensure that revenues and receivables are accurately recorded in the system
• Assist with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting group including month-end close
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and any other tasks assigned by the Controller
• Assist with year-end audit process

Qualifications:

• BS Accounting degree REQUIRED
• 1-2 years Accounting experience preferred
• Strong communication skills required; verbal and written
• Excellent teamwork skills (i.e. must be consistently reliable and assist others)
• CPA or CPA Candidate
• Microsoft Excel - (Pivot tables, vlookups, charts, etc.)
• Detail and accuracy required; must demonstrate error free work (i.e. preparing journal entries)
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
