Description :
Client is transitioning its global payroll environment to the SAP ECP platform. Initial assignment primarily focused on testing of SAP ECP payroll results in preparation for transition to production.
After implementation, individual will transition to Operational support of US Payroll. Post-implementation activities analyses, audits, reconciles and resolves complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing with timely and accurate results.
Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, benefits, savings, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.
and ensures appropriate amounts / deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly. Ensures payroll outputs such as statements, reports and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state, and local regulations.
Researches and interprets federal and state regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, garnishment, and wage / hour issues for payroll processing.
Responds to audit, legal and regulatory inquiries. Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff.
Works with system programmers to achieve solutions or administer company payroll system with outside service provider.
