Job DescriptionWe are seeking a self-motivated Tax Manager to join our expanding team at TriStar Tax & Business Solutions. Quarterly bonuses not included in base pay listed below. The Tax Manager will be responsible for planning and managing the tax team, taking client calls/meetings and reviewing returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates. The ideal candidate will be a self starter who possess excellent communication and organizational skills, exhibits strong analytical skills, is proficient in accounting software and has an understanding of tax law.
Responsibilities:
The company started in 2014 and we have almost doubled every year. We are locally owned, family operated, and offer a broad range of services for individuals, business owners, executives and independent professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the timely and accurate preparation of all tax returns.
- Communicates with clients to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed.
- Understand client tax issues/research tax issues
- Assist other tax members with accounting responsibilities
- Communicates well and has excellent customer service skills.
- Supervises and trains staff on best practices, performs annual performance reviews, and works with management on appropriate staffing allocation.
- Must have 4-5 Years of Public Accounting Experience (with a CPA firm)
- At least 1 Year as a Tax Manager
- Active CPA
- Strong leadership, decision making, and technical skills.
- Enjoys working with a team in an energetic and open working environment.
- Public Accounting Experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online required.
