Tristate Arthritis and Rheumatology in Northern Kentucky is seeking a RN for our Infusion Center.
To succeed in this position the preferred candidate will be required to:
1. Maintain active and unrestrictive Kentucky Registered Nurse license and certification; complete all necessary continuing education to maintain licensing/certification. Maintain CPR certification.
2. Adherence to current HIPAA regulations and federal/state laws for patient protected health information and/or medical record; maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
3. Triage patients by telephone or in person according to medical priority.
4. Assess health status of patient and provide health counseling and teaching using nursing knowledge and judgement.
5. Administer IV medications, injections, treatments and regiments prescribed by the physician per protocol. Calculate dose and prepare IV medications or injections. Start IV infusions, monitor patient throughout infusions, discontinue IV infusions, and provide discharge instructions.
6. Coordinate with physician and insurance coordinator new patient eligibility, schedule load on dose(s) for patient. Supervise scheduling and rescheduling of infusions and injections as needed.
7. Perform laboratory tests and determinations according to procedures prescribed by the physician. Inform physician of all laboratory tests and determinations.
8. Prepare and document narcotic prescription refills for the physician to approve.
9. Accurately report and document all nursing advice given; all medications and medication reconciliation, and treatments given; all laboratory tests and determinations.
10. Attend department, staff, and educational meetings as scheduled and/or required.
11. Other nursing or non-nursing duties that may be identified as needed.JOB DUTIES:
