The RN/LPN/CMA duties include (but are not limited to): obtaining basic assessment information, including vital signs, EKG's, and point of care test; advocating for patients; administering prescribed medications, preparing exam rooms, procedure room, and assisting providers; documenting in the EMR according to TSH policy and procedures. Each position has specific requirements with unique duties and responsibilities. This position may require travel between Tri-State locations in Lewiston and Clarkston.
Education and Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent is required. Must have graduated from or be about to complete a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES); LPNs must have graduated from an accredited LPN program. RN's graduated from an accredited RN program.
Licensures/ Certifications:
National or State Certification required for CMAs. LPNs must be licensed by the state in which they practice. All CMAs/MAs/LPNs must have current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire or within orientation period.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience in a physician office, hospital or ambulatory care facility; must have a pleasant personality and experience dealing with the public and patients; ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude and ability to organize information for quick retrieval is required.
Skills and Abilities:
Computer skills, medical terminology, and experience with office assessments necessary
