INSURANCE PRODUCT MANAGER

Specialty Insurance

The Insurance Product Manager will have responsibility to develop and execute comprehensive products across the US.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies aligned with company objectives to support the Corporate Insurance and Surety divisions. Products Include, but not limited to Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Commercial Crime, Kidnap & Extortion Coverage, Errors and Omissions and Surety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including actuarial, underwriting, and marketing to ensure product viability and profitability.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and ongoing management.
• Develop product roadmaps and timelines, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Review filings for jurisdictional requirements and identify recommended revisions.
• Prepare, submit and monitor countrywide and state-specific product filings.
• Serve as point of contact for interrogatories including drafting redlined changes as necessary, preparing response language and engaging leadership for approval.
• Maintain and monitor forms, rate, rule and manuscript libraries and identify opportunities to enhance product filings.
• Establish and maintain resources to support ongoing underwriting compliance.
• Cultivate strong relationships with external partners such as reinsurers, brokers, and regulatory agencies.
• Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret regulatory requirements and integrate them into product design and marketing materials.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field required.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance product management, underwriting, or related roles.
• Demonstrated track record of success in managing insurance product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, products, and regulations.
• Proficiency in SERFF Insurance Filing System is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration towards common goals. Experience mentoring and developing junior team members is a plus.
• Deep understanding of insurance industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies impacting insurance product development and distribution
