Position Summary
The Senior Sales Engineer (SSE) supports the sales and integrations team productivity and deal flow by building scalable integrations with clients and industry partners. The SSE collaborates with sales, product, operations, and engineering to ensure technical solutions accurately address client needs and the company's strategic objectives. This position is specifically responsible for integrations with carrier transportation management systems (TMS) to continue the expansion and improvement of the TriumphPay Payments Network. An SSE is also responsible for leading a small sales engineering team to maximize effectiveness and client satisfaction. This position reports to the VP, Implementations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Works deals assigned to the sales team, prioritizing to maximize team productivity and revenue, or as directed by leadership.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address system and customer requirements, assesses customer's systems and technical capabilities, and recommends mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Leads and develops sales engineers to support all implementations.
  • Provides coaching and professional development to team members to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
  • Secures input from all necessary stakeholders and adapts solutions, as necessary.
  • Coordinates closely with sales, operations, and integrations teams to align solution design with business requirements.
  • Designs, analyzes, tests, debugs, and supports custom integrations to meet timing and functional expectations.
  • Opportunistically identifies additional business opportunities and collaborates with sales to support business development.
  • Communicates effectively internally and externally to manage project scope and timely completion.
  • Able to operate in a highly regulated environment (SOX Compliance).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
The successful candidate will possess business operations experience and skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • 3 years' experience in sales engineering or technical project management in a professional environment.
  • Experience identifying customer's business needs and providing a technological solution.
  • Strong technical, logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with agile implementation methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent skills and experience.

  • Specific vision abilities are required by this job due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required.
