General Information
Beds: 59; census is usually lower than this though. Currently less than 40 residents (10/4/2023)
Minimum Experience: 1 year; Does not have to have LTC experience, but emphasize that it is LTC facility
Will accept a first-time traveler
PPE:
Surgical masks worn in facility
N95s available
Convalescent long-term care, Post stroke with long term deficiencies, CHF, Hospice, Respite care, IDDM
No vents/trachs currently
Medication pass on nights is minimal. Most residents do not take meds after 22:00.
One blood sugar check for diabetic patients, currently scheduled for the morning
Most residents are NOT full codes. There are protocols in place to follow if a code situation should arise. All CNAs are trained to participate in CPR. Being attached to the hospital, nurses from that facility can respond quickly if an emergency does arise.
CNA: 1:10-12 Days
3 CNA at night
BLS- MUST be through AHA
Experience with the above patient types
Phlebotomy does blood draws. Any IV treatments go to hospital next door
Scheduling:
Shift times: 8's -0600 to 1430, 1400 to 2230, and 2200 to 0630.
12's - 0600 to 1830 and 1800 to 0630
Schedule is approved through DON
Time-off: 7 days okay to approve, DON approval required for additional days and holidays.
Will work 1-2 holidays per contract
Overtime available but not required
