We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Position OverviewAs a member of the Trojan Operations Team, this is intended to be a senior level position with responsibilities of: providing, developing, implementing, and leading analytical and project management support for all three plants within CA Operations. This position will assist the leadership staff of three local manufacturing plants.
Areas of FocusResponsible for business analyses to identify opportunities for improvement across CA manufacturing operations, PMP Business Case Development across both flooded and lithium platforms, pricing quote development, assessment and tracking of achieved operational results, tracking and evaluation of plant cost initiatives, project leadership and oversight, data and cost evaluations, capital project development, payback analyses and post-implementation project performance assessment, as required to support all three CA Plants. In addition, this position will support the development of annual operational plans, continuous process improvement, and other documentation and reporting such as:
- Collect, analyze, and report data to support day-to-day operations and monthly financial reporting activities, as compared to budgeted and targeted results.
- Conduct investigative internal Audits.
- Create monthly and ad hoc management reporting against operational plans and key initiatives.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, possess communication skills to assist in guiding the team to achieve performance targets.
- Assist in analysis of operational results to plan and forecasts for three California factories.
- Assist with business case development, in support of PMP and capital projects.
- Assist with analysis and reporting of plant performance.
- Support development of business cases for PMP and plant capital projects.
- Write project plans and SOPs with active direction.
- Support Pricing Quotation Process.
- Support Weekly Expense reporting vs annual operating plan and forecasts.
- Work with multiple company systems, such as PLEX, Workday, Concur, etc.
- Assist in driving and sustaining best practices in plant manufacturing processes, as required, including MRO requisitioning, receiving, inventory controls, planning and financial reporting.
- Establish a strong relationship with plant members, in a collaborative environment.
- Participate in Plant Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen)
- Analyze data and information to identify business opportunities for improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Work closely with plant leadership to achieve outcomes based on company goals.
- Recommend and update policies and procedures to improve performance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to improve cost-effectiveness across all platforms.
- Leading projects and cost improvement initiatives
- Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagement.
- Recommend solutions.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications; MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Access or equivalent
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- A minimum of 10 years in similar roles and related experience in high volume product manufacturing or similar environment required.
- Data management skills desired, with excellent analytical skills.
- Knowledge of cost accounting, including experience in a standard cost environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Knowledge of cost and standard costing. Demonstrated experience and ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead projects and to work collaborative cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated sound business judgment and ability to flex with business priorities.
- Experience performing financial analyses within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work at different management levels.
- Ability to be self-directed and be a partner to Operations cross-functionally.
- Problem solving and investigative skills.
