Tropicale Foods, Inc. is Hiring a Network Distribution Analyst Near Ontario, CA

Background Summary:

The Logistics team is charged with delivering best-in-class customer service and delighting the Tropicale customer. This team is comprised of Distribution, Customer Service, and Transportation functions – all which work in concert to deliver the Logistics objectives. Within this team, the Network Distribution Analyst is accountable for evaluating the frozen storage network, ensuring inventory accuracy and execution of the Distribution Model.

Position Summary:

The Network Distribution Analyst is responsible to assist the department in managing the distribution network, all inventory maintained in the network, and clearly communicating and providing direction to Tropicale regarding inventory movement and availability. This position is focused on near term execution of the plan. This role must have the ability to adapt quickly and show urgency in all situations.

Critical to the success will be managing the accuracy of inventory status within the ERP system against the Tropicale warehouses and 3PL inventories.Strong relationships at the 3PLs, anticipating and mitigating inventory issues, and communicating cross functionally with Operations, Logistics, and Finance are necessary for success This person will be part of a three-member Network Distribution Team, directly supporting the Manager and guiding the Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver that focuses on details, process and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with managing and executing the Tropicale Distribution Model to maintain inventory accuracy and efficiently provide sufficient inventory to the correct shipping location

Assist with performing monthly reconciliations for all storage locations against the Tropicale book inventory

  • Work directly with Quality to ensure the Hold product is accurately recorded and maintained at the 3PLs and in the ERP system

Report out KPIs, such as Open Orders, Case Fill, Inventory Availability metrics, etc

Identify and resolve Shipping and Receiving discrepancies immediately

  • Facilitate and ensure that the product tracing process is complete in a timely and accurate fashion to support mock and/or actual product recall activities

Perform reconciliation of DSD Route Inventory to book of record

  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with peers, customers, vendors and staff

Qualifications:

Five plus years of experience with inventory allocation and strategic problem solving.

Strong understanding of Supply Chain management and demonstrated experience applying Lean principles and techniques on a network scale.

  • Strong ability to identify, diagnose and resolve issues across multiple facilities
  • Demonstrates aligned behavior with Tropicale’s values

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Operations, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related business field, and five plus years of experience in distribution, replenishment, inventory management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Travel:

Semi-annual travel to 3PLs and plant frozen storage locations as needed.
