Trova Advisory Group is Hiring a Human Resources Director Near Wheeling, IL

Job Summary: The HR Director will be a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing all HR functions across multiple facilities. This role requires a versatile individual with experience in union environments, benefits negotiations, and conflict resolution. The HR Director will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to build a strong, cohesive team and ensure the smooth operation of all HR activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader, stepping in to perform any HR responsibilities as needed.
  • Manage HR operations across multiple facilities, ensuring consistency and alignment with company policies.
  • Lead benefit negotiations and administration, ensuring competitive and cost-effective benefits packages.
  • Handle conflict resolution and employee grievances, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Build and develop a strong HR team, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, particularly in unionized environments.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and support the development of a high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Director or similar role in the CPG industry.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to perform a wide range of HR tasks.
  • Experience managing HR functions across multiple facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of union environments and labor laws.
  • Demonstrated experience in benefits negotiations and administration.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work closely with senior leadership and influence decision-making.
