OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Director to lead our preschool team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and enthusiasm and energy for working with students, parents and staff.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
- CPL3, CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in early childhood settings.
- Commitment to ongoing education through seminars and workshops.
Salary and Hours:
- Salary based on education and experience, aligned with Staff Parish Committee guidelines.
Statement of Faith:
- We ask that all candidates be willing to provide a written statement of faith briefly describing your Christian belief and its influence in your life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Licensing:
- Maintain current licensing records and state standards for the program, facility, and staff.
- Comply with recommendations from the State Licensing Agent and fire inspector.
- Conduct monthly fire and weather drills.
Staff Supervision:
- Assist in hiring and orienting staff.
- Maintain personnel records and arrange for substitute staff.
- Regularly evaluate staff and keep them informed of in-service opportunities.
- Work with staff on children with special needs and report signs of abuse or neglect.
Business:
- Lead parent orientation and keep parents informed.
- Attend Church Council meetings.
- Publicize the preschool and manage public relations.
- Operate within budget and establish the school calendar.
Bookkeeping:
- Order supplies, manage student accounts, and oversee fundraising efforts.
- Provide monthly financial statements to the Finance Committee.
Registration:
- Advertise for enrollment, hold open houses, and lead facility tours.
- Manage enrollment records and recommend tuition adjustments to the Board.
Program:
- Be available to staff and parents, supervise curriculum, and assist in classrooms as needed.
- Organize field trips, special days, and programs with teaching staff.
- Maintain enthusiasm, energy, and confidentiality in all matters.
