Job Summary

This role performs a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures.

• Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
• Conduct a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
• Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
• Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
• Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
• Document all related data.
• Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.

• Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
• Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
• Resolve and escalate complex issues.
• Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
• Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
• Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
• Other shifts as assigned
• All other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma / GED Required
• Technical Diploma in Radiology Program Required

• Pediatric Experience Preferred

• Computed Tomography (CT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months Required or
• Computed Tomography (CT) certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board within 12 months Required and
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification issued through an organization that requires a hands-on instructor-led psychomotor skills verification (e.g., American Heart Association or Red Cross) upon hire Required

• Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
• Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
• Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent organizational skills
