Truck Center Companies is Hiring a SERVICE MANAGER - York Near York, NE
- Listen and document customer's needs, review after written to ensure accuracy, give customer an estimate repair or flat rate for repair, advise customer of any additional costs of repair immediately.
- Review Daily Operating Control report
- Review Open Repair Order Report weekly; follow-up to make sure Repair Orders are closed as soon as work is completed.
- Maintain a clean, safe and presentable Service Area.
- Maintain all shop equipment in operational order, follow proper procedure for replacement of any inoperable or unsafe shop equipment including ladders.
- Notify management of any new tool requirements needed and follow proper procedure for purchase of same.
- Project a positive, helpful, and professional attitude to coworkers.
- Hire and dismiss Service Department personnel as required.
- Maintain the proper level of personnel to achieve customer satisfaction and company labor sales objectives.
- Define training needs for each individual and maintain training files of each individual.
- Ensure OEM's requirements are met by Service personnel for certification.
- Hold daily service meetings with all service personnel, review all bulletins and updates from OEM's, solicit any service problems from employees' company related.
- SAFETY:
- Perform monthly inspections of Service Department. (See Inspection form for requirements).
- Safe operation of all shop equipment, use of jack stands, etc.
- Enforce all necessary safety equipment be worn by service personnel.
- PROFIT, EFFICIENCY, PRODUCTIVITY AND EXPENSE:
- It is the total responsibility of the Service Manager to operate a profitable department and to control expenses.
- Review monthly financial statements to measure the results and control of your department.
- Must have a Class “B” Commercial Drivers License and the to test ability drive class 8 trucks.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Have knowledge and expertise in using and service tools.
- Must have excellent reading skills.
- Dress code as per policy information booklet.
