Position OverviewAs the Community Engagement Coordinator at TMPF, you will play a crucial role in developing volunteer-based projects that support the Healthy Parks, Healthy People programs. You will recruit volunteers, provide training, and organize outreach events to enhance volunteer engagement. Additionally, you will serve as the main point of contact for all TMPF volunteers, focusing on recruitment, training, management, and retention.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Expand volunteer recruitment, training, and management for Healthy Parks, Healthy People programs
  • Develop onboarding and training protocols for volunteers
  • Create special events and programs to promote Healthy Parks, Healthy People initiatives
  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations
  • Enhance volunteer data tracking systems
  • Lead a public awareness campaign on community stewardship
  • Develop engagement opportunities for volunteers to support TMPF programs
  • Implement a volunteer appreciation and retention plan
  • Assist in planning annual Healthy Parks, Healthy People events at Rosewood Nature Study Area
Qualifications
  • Passion for TMPF's mission and vision
  • Bachelor's degree or volunteer experience
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Organizational prowess
  • Initiative and a spirit of service
  • Preferred: experience in volunteer management, graphic design, event planning
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
