What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis.
Job Summary
As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our distribution center. Your main responsibilities will include receiving and sorting products, picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Duties
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse machinery for loading and unloading trucks.
- Utilize RF scanner guns or handheld devices to pick orders accurately.
- Sort orders based on various criteria such as shipping time, quantity, and size.
- Receive incoming products and verify their accuracy.
- Post received products for assembly using computerized machines or manual processes.
- Verify the accuracy of assembled products using manual methods.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse equipment by cleaning, restocking, and performing basic maintenance tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, squatting, and reaching overhead.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for measuring and weighing units of various sizes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with order picking and packaging.
- Proficiency in operating a pallet jack or cherry picker.
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory management.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance is a plus.
