Director of Client Growth Job Profile
The Director of Client Growth is responsible for developing and executing the firm’s client growth strategy to support the overall business plan and strategic growth objectives. In this role, this individual cultivates relationships at all levels within the firm and with community stakeholders outside of the firm. Serving as a key liaison, the Director of Client Growth drives the experience of individuals and families who are considering our wealth management services.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the client growth strategy, ensuring Truepoint remains competitive in the marketplace.
  • Introduce and implement client growth strategies across the firm.
  • Work closely with wealth advisors, specialists, and external coaches to develop and deploy strategies to cultivate referrals from clients and centers of influence.
  • Serve as primary lead for introductory conversations and getting acquainted meetings with prospective clients – introducing the firm’s value proposition and client experience.
  • Oversee the prospect process and prospect liaisons, including follow-up coordination and regular evaluation of strategies, systems, and processes.
  • Manage new leads generated through the firm’s primary growth channels: client referrals, employee referrals, COI referrals, and marketing-generated opportunities.
  • Evaluate external lead generation opportunities and creatively uncover new avenues for client growth.
  • Manage client growth data and metrics in the context of the firm’s annual and long-term client growth goals, providing regular updates and setting annual targets for success.
  • Match prospective clients with appropriate advisor, based on capacity, skill set, and other preferences.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and deploy digital marketing efforts to generate prospective client opportunities.
  • Manage and support the day-to-day activities of the client growth team, including leading a team of professionals.

Requirements
  • 10 years of client-facing or professional service experience.
  • Strong academic track record, including the achievement of a bachelor’s or advanced degree.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on client development, marketing, business development, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with prospective clients and centers of influence.
  • A positive, client-centric mindset with the initiative and drive to exceed expectations.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and highly dependable; demonstrate ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer and occasional periods of sitting.
  • May have to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Minimal travel required. Frequent attendance at internal meetings is required.
  • Occasional attendance at meetings with outside partners.
  • Travel outside the region may be required for business and/or professional development.
