Senior leader accountable for building and maintaining data platforms, ensuring capabilities are stable, scalable, align to business requirements, and are controlled per Truist technology standards. Leaders at this level will manage multiple platforms that are functionally aligned (e.g., business intelligence and reporting tools, data movement and storage, document and content management, AI and model management etc.). This role will function as an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer supporting our fast-paced and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS technologies and experience with automation and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Design, build and execute Data and Analytics strategies for Cloud Infrastructure: Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance AWS infrastructure.

2.Responsible for development and maintenance of one or more data platforms and tools, for safe and deliberate consumption throughout the organization.

3.Accountable for managing multiple platform teams comprising of globally distributed full time platform engineers, platform leads and contract resources.

4.Works closely with senior leaders within Enterprise Technology.

5.Accountable for managing the multiple functions below along with platform teams comprising of globally distributed full time platform engineers, platform leads and contract resources.

·Automation: Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools to automate the deployment process.

·Configuration Management: Utilize tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation to manage and automate environment configurations.

·Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Splunk or similar tools to ensure system health and performance.

·Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance in the cloud environment.

·Security: Ensure security best practices and compliance across all AWS environments.

·Cost Optimization: Monitor and manage AWS costs, implementing best practices for cost-efficiency.

·Disaster Recovery: Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability strategies.

·Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, contributing to system stability and reliability.

6. In an Agile environment, may serve as the "IT Leader."

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor Degree and six years of experience managing complex IT projects or equivalent education and related training or experience2. Demonstrated experience in project management/delivery teams 3. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services4. Knowledge of technology structures that incorporate variable staffing evolving platforms, cost and value arbitrage value propositions. Knowledge of business process reengineering and operations5. Broad view of how industry and technology changes impact technology and client experience through digital channels. Strong business acumen and domain expertise in the assigned portfolio. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure6. Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent degree Experience within

2. Enterprise Data organization preferably within a financial institution

3. AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

4. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

5. Knowledge of additional cloud platform Azure is a plus.

6. Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).

7. Proficiency with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

8. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

9. Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.

10. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

11. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk etc.

12. Solid understanding of Networking, Security, Database and Data warehouse in a cloud environment.

13. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
