The Enterprise Risk Identification Program is Truist's process of self-examination by considering its own specific exposures for potential adverse outcomes and communicating and escalating these risks across the organization. The Enterprise Risk Identification Program also leads the aggregation of risks from business units to the corporate risk inventory. The Enterprise Risk Identification Program and the corporate risk inventory is also a primary input to the scenario design process of the annual capital stress testing exercise, requiring coordination with Corporate Treasury.
Key responsibilities of the Risk Strategy and Operations Specialist II include: project management delivery and ongoing execution of enterprise-wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programs; analyze and consult on the development of risk reporting, and manage delivery of key operational capabilities for the Risk Management Organization (RMO). Ability to independently interact with senior leaders in executive situations; Support executives with organization's understanding of risk strategies. Lead large projects with matrixed business, risk and technical resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide project management capabilities and support for the development and continuous enhancement of complex, cross-functional RMO strategic initiatives and ERM programs; develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables; facilitate and communicate with executives/leadership; translate business requirements for technical development teams.
2. Develop efficient, effective, and controlled processes for the execution of risk management programs; document policies, procedures, process flows, and controls.
3. Facilitate and execute ongoing risk management programs; manage program timelines and deliverables; partner with stakeholders across the RMO and business units to execute program objectives.
4. Consult on the development of risk metrics and risk assessment methodologies to support risk identification, monitoring, measurement, and reporting; analyze data to identify risk trends and themes.
5. Develop presentations and reports to communicate risk management concepts, project / program objectives and deliverables, and periodic risk assessments; support the development of executive and board level risk reporting.
6. Apply a comprehensive understanding of how the organization operates to solve technical, operational, and business problems.
7. Lead projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity, often with implications and/or resource requirements beyond own functional area.
8. Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
9. Manage key risk management business and risk administration responsibilities and projects for the Chief Risk Officer, Deputy Chief Risk Officer, Enterprise Risk Management and Regulatory Relations Officer and the Head of Risk Strategy.
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
2. 10 years of experience in project management, program development, risk management, and data analytics for financial institutions
3. Experience working in cross-functional project teams
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills

6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
7. Self-starter with ability to execute deliverables with no direction
8. Multi-tasker with adaptability and ability to perform in ambiguous environments
