Accountant (39658)

Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for an Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2 years of experience, experience in AR/AP and payroll, and strong communication skills. This position offers variety in tasks, great benefits, and flexibility! This position ishybrid.

The salary range for this job is $55k-65k.

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and process day-to-day activities of accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and payment transactions.
• Collect WIRE/ACH information and initiate fund transfers.
• Maintain AR records and ensure timely and accurate application of cash receipts.
• Maintain daily bank transactions records to ensure all debits and credits are recorded.
• Prepare reports on financial performance, trends and variances.
• Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

The Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Non-profit and/or payroll experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
