Financial Systems Director - Workday (39948)

Our long-established insurance client is looking for a Financial Systems Director to lead Workday Financials maintenance and configuration! This person will collaborate with various teams throughout the company to ensure Workday is being leveraged to its fullest potential. You'll stay up to date on changes and trends to help bring Workday to the next level! The company offers great career longevity and an emphasis on work-life balance including a hybrid schedule and a 37.5 hour work week!

Salary range: $180,000 - $210,000 (commensurate with experience); bonus and LTI eligible

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and continuously improve Workday Financials
• Lead a team of 4 in day-to-day activities and larger projects
• Drive automation and standardized reporting processes
• Work closely with accounting, business unit finance, corporate finance, IT, and HR teams to keep Workday running smoothly and meeting the needs of the firm
• Find opportunities to further improve the system and leverage its functionality to the fullest potential
• Stay on top of upcoming Workday changes or rollouts to stay ahead of the game
• Assist in managing the governance structure for the company as it pertains to Workday

Qualifications:

• 7-10 years of experience in accounting and financial system management
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or similar
• Strong understanding and passion for the Workday ecosystem
• Must have an accounting or finance background; CPA preferred but not required
• Insurance or professional services experience strongly preferred
• Proactive mindset, collaborative, and strong team leader
